Has the deadly H5N1 virus infected Britain?

The British press is reporting on the first case of bird flu in Britain. Apparently tests are tonight being carried out on a swan found dead in Fife Scotland. If lab tests confirm the death as being caused by the deadly H5N1 virus then this is bad news but not unexpected.I have been following bird flu events since the begining of 2006 and so I have become accustomed to reports from other countries. Now that the virus, if confirmed, is in Britain we will soon see the same levels of comprehensive action taken as in other affected Countries to limit the spread of infection.
